High-order horizontal resonances in the beam-beam interaction

Abstract: This paper studies the characteristics of horizontal resonances excited by the beam-beam interaction. First order perturbation theory and simulations show that high order horizontal resonances are exceptionally strong at large amplitudes. The orders of these resonances are so high that they may mistakenly be ignored, and they can result in bad lifetime.
