“…In the western and eastern parts of the Hongliuxia belt, Palaeoproterozoic felsic gneiss and metasediments (Wang et al, 2013; Zhao et al, 2013) enclose mafic granulite and amphibolite blocks with metamorphic ages of c. 1.61 Ga and 1.85–1.83 Ga (Wang et al, 2014; Zhang et al, 2012). Zircon and titanite U–Pb dating as well as 40 Ar− 39 Ar dating of these Palaeoproterozoic rocks further revealed the preservation of multiple metamorphic overprints at c. 430, 409–392, 354–309 and 252–237 Ma (Wang et al, 2014, 2023; Wang, Diwu, et al, 2021; Zong et al, 2013).
