High field magnetic properties in single crystal Nd3Co

Abstract: Magnetization as a function of field was measured in pulsed fields of up to 40 T at various temperatures along the principal axes of single crystal Nd3Co. Along the a axis we observed metamagnetic transitions at fields of 1.9 and 4.5 T at 4.2 K. We also observed a sharp increase in the magnetic moment in applied fields between 9.5 and 14 T.
