High energy scattering amplitudes of superstring theory

Abstract: We use three different methods to calculate the proportionality constants among high-energy scattering amplitudes of different string states with polarizations on the scattering plane. These are the decoupling of high-energy zero-norm states (HZNS), the Virasoro constraints and the saddle-point calculation. These calculations are performed at arbitrary but fixed mass level for the NS sector of 10D open superstring. All three methods give the consistent results, which generalize the previous works on the high-e… Show more

“…This is physically consistent as one expects a m R , 1 2 nR dependent Regge-pole and zero structures in the high energy string scattering amplitudes. In conclusion, in the GR, Presumably, the infinite linear relations obtained above can be reproduced by using the method of high energy ZNS, or high energy Ward identities, adopted in the previous works [4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11]. The existence of Soliton ZNS at arbitrary mass levels was constructed in [22].…”

“…By combining string BCJ relations with infinite linear relations of HSS amplitudes [14][15][16][18][19][20], one obtains extended linear relations which relate HSS amplitudes of string states with different spins and different channels. Moreover, these extended linear relations can be used to reduce the number of independent HSS amplitudes from ∞ down to 1 [14][15][16][18][19][20]. Similar calculation can be performed in the RSS limit [27], and one obtains extended recurrence relations in the RSS limit.…”

“…Recently high-energy, fixed-angle behavior of string scattering amplitudes [1,2,3] was intensively reinvestigated [4,5,6,7,8,9,10]. The motivation was to uncover the long-sought hidden stringy space-time symmetry.…”
