“…Poly(meso-NiSaldMe-3dMe) based molecular wires and continuous film were prepared in a three-electrode cell configuration by electropolymerization under potentiodynamic conditions from the propylene carbonate solution containing 0.5 mM monomer and 0.1 M (TBA)PF 6 in the potential range of 0.0 to 1.7 V vs. Ag/Ag + at 100 mV s À1 . The propylene carbonate solution of 0.1 M (TBA)PF 6 was selected as an electropolymerization medium as it enables formation of Ni 2+ salen polymers with high operational stability upon doping and dedoping cycling, 42,44,45 contrary to, e.g. (TBA)ClO 4 in acetonitrile, for which entrapment of perchlorate anions may lead to poorer long-term stability.…”
