High birefringence photonic crystal fiber for glucose sensing

Abstract:This paper focuses on designing a simple photonic crystal fiber (PCF) biosensor. The proposed glucose sensor is modelled by Lumerical software using the finite element method. To evaluate the efficiency of this model, different sensing properties such as birefringence, coupling length, and relative sensitivity are calculated at different air-filling fractions.
