Higgs decay rate to two photons in a model with two fermiophobic-Higgs doublets

Abstract: We consider a three Higgs doublet model with an S 3 symmetry in which beside the SM-like doublet there are two fermiophobic doublets. Due to the new charged scalars there is an enhancement in the two-photon decay while the other channels have the same decay widths that the SM neutral Higgs. The fermiophobic scalars are mass degenerated unless soft terms breaking the S 3 symmetry are added.

“…This is not the case in the general 3HDM with an arbitrary vacuum alignment. This sort of model was put forward for the first time in [9] and the gg  h branching ratio in this context was considered in [10]. Here we will revisit this process with the more recent experimental data and also include the g  h Z process.…”

“…The presence of two inert doublet implies in contributions for h 0 → γγ [44], and h 0 → Zγ [45]. In the latter paper it was obtained the best value for λ 5 , that fit the current data for h → γγ, when it is λ 5 = −0.4, in Fig.…”

“…For more details see Ref. [44]. We would like to stress that the existence of two inert doublets, and the flavor conservation in the neutral currents mediated by scalars are consequences of three ingredients: i) the S 3 symmetry, ii) the representation content of the fermion and scalar multiplets under S 3 , and, iii) the vacuum alignment.…”
