Summary In general, there are several many devices that can overload the network and reduce performance. Devices can minimize interference and optimize bandwidth usage by using directional antennas and by avoiding overlapping communication ranges. In addition, devices need to carefully manage their use of resources, such as bandwidth and energy. Bandwidth is limited in wireless personal area networks (WPANs), so devices need to carefully select which data to send and receive. In this paper, an intelligent performance analysis of energy‐efficient resource optimization model has been proposed for device‐to‐device (D2D) communication in fifth‐generation (5G) WPAN. The proposed energy‐efficient resource allocation in D2D communication is important because it helps reduce energy consumption and extend the lifespan of devices that are communicating with each other. By allocating resources in an efficient manner, communication between two devices can be optimized for maximum efficiency. This helps reduce the amount of energy needed to power the communication, as well as the amount of energy needed to power the device that is communicating with another device. Additionally, efficient resource allocation helps reduce the overall cost of communication, as the use of fewer resources results in a lower overall cost. The proposed efficient resource allocation helps reduce the environmental impact of communication, as less energy is used for communication. The proposed energy‐efficient resource allocation model (EERAM) has reached 92.97% of energy allocation, 88.72% of power allocation, 87.79% of bandwidth allocation, 87.93% of spectrum allocation, 88.43% of channel allocation, 25.47% of end‐to‐end delay, 94.33% of network data speed, and 90.99% of network throughput.

Summary The increase in mobile communication has been caused the network traffic problem. For that, phantom cell is used for further spectrum efficiency enhancements. In this paper, improved cat swarm optimization clustering (ICSOC)‐based energy aware load balancing is made for both macro cell and small cell to improve the broadband network efficiency using 5G and beyond wireless networks. Then, Multilevel Feedback Queue with Round Robin (MFQ‐RR) scheduling is used to provide superior channel quality and well improved resource sharing for mobile phones. In this wireless network, the phantom cells provided a feasible and cost‐effective way of refining the network coverage and capacity for both local and wide area networks because of their low cost and easy deployment. This system has highly efficient, cost effective, and flexible that will fulfill the end user expectations, and it enhances the capacity and flexible multi‐RAT access to support the diverse applications. This system performance is evaluated using MATLAB 12 software. From experimental results, it is observed that the throughput and spectral efficiency are increased by 20% and 35%, respectively. As well as the packet delay is reduced to 12% and packet loss ratio is 33% decreased when compared with the existing techniques.

The emergence of two new technologies, namely software defined networking (SDN) and 5G networks, has greatly changed the development of network functions and network topologies. These two technologies provide cost benefits for mobile operators, a more flexible and scalable network, and a shorter time to market for new services and applications. Scalability and effectiveness are increased when 5G and SDN are used together. SDN increases the reliability of the 5G network by separating the control plane from the data plane. Incorrect load balancing, a lack of knowledge of network traffic, and other issues make it difficult to provide Quality of Service (QoS) with SDN. This research proposes a unique loadbalancing method to resolve these concerns using Hierarchical Agglomerative Clustering (HAC) and Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) algorithms. The proposed method segments the network services into several groups after normalizing data requirements. It consists of two phases: in first phase, there is clustering of bandwidth for different services (e.g., social media, automated homes, and automated cars) inside the network for different data requirements. The agglomerative hierarchical clustering (single link technique) is implemented to make the clusters of bandwidth inside the SDN work based on minimum distance. After clustering, we allotted bandwidths to the respective clusters. In the second phase, the BPNN technique trains the network to choose the optimal path and check the error faults. The proposed approach evaluates the network delay, packet loss, throughput, latency rate, and bandwidth usage to evaluate the performance with Multiple Regression-based Searching (MRBS) and Software-defined Sensor Network Load Balancing (SDSNLB) algorithms. The experimental results of the proposed model are promising as the performance increased by 15%, 23%, 27%, 21%, and 30%, respectively, compared with existing approaches. In addition we compared the computational time complexity with increased the no of nodes and services, when the rate of nodes and services is varying, the proposed solution's efficiency remains constant.
