Hide text in an image using Blowfish algorithm and development of least significant bit technique

Abstract: Recently, there is increasing interest in data transfer between many different devices. Data must be encrypted before being sent so that the intended receiver can only read it to prevent unauthorized access and processing of a secret message. This paper suggests two levels of security to secure import messages that are sent via the internet. A secret text is encrypted by a Blowfish algorithm, then the secret text is hidden in an image by the least significant bit (LSB) technique. The LSB method of concealing i… Show more

“…LSBbased methods (Least Significant Bit) is a commonly employed technique in spatial domain steganography, achieved by altering the least significant bit of pixels to achieve concealment. Due to its simplicity and efficiency, this technique has found extensive application in steganography [27]- [36]. In addition to the LSB-based method, there are also works that employ alternative spatial domain techniques to embed secret data within cover videos.…”

“…The most popular steganography technique is the LSB; it has a high embedding capacity and a low computing complexity [10]. This technique embeds a secret message in an image, audio, network, or text [21]. In the cover image, the LSB of each pixel is modified and replaced with a bit of secret data [14].…”
