“…The relationship between a hiatus hernia and duodenogastric (bile) reflux is still unknown and deserves further investigation. Using Tc-99m terfosmin or sesatamibi for cardiac SPECT, an incidentally found retro-cardiac activity, seen in the raw data imaging, due to patients with a large hiatus hernia, has been reported, [5][6][7] because most of the radiopharmaceutial was being extracted from the hepatobiliary system.
