Hexagonal ring‐inspired antenna for UWB and V2X applications

Abstract:This paper presents a small‐sized, planar antenna fabrication for ultra‐wideband (UWB) and vehicle‐to‐everything (V2X) applications. The design is inspired by a hexagonal ring, providing an UWB bandwidth of 16.61 GHz (from 3.33 to 19.94 GHz) and a fractional bandwidth of 142.75%. A suitably placed inverted‐U slot in the feed line helps in achieving the WLAN notch band (from 5.04 to 6.01 GHz).
