Heuristic mathematical formulations and comprehensive algorithm for optimal decision making for power system cabling

Abstract: This paper proposes a novel method for an optimal cabling route; a combinatorial design algorithm through heuristic mathematical formulations to choose the optimal path when two or more physical paths are available. The best path, from an EMC point of view, can be chosen based upon various criteria, such as monetary cost minimization, voltage drop and quality (EMC) parameters.
