Heterotopes Pankreasgewebe in der Hepatikusgabel

Abstract: Heterotopic tissue of the pancreas can be found in 1-2% of autopsies. The main locations are stomach, duodenum, jejunum, Meckel's diverticulum, and ileum. Less frequently it is observed in the liver, gallbladder, common bile duct, and papilla of Vateri. We report the first case of heterotopic pancreatic tissue in the bifurcation of the bile duct mimicking a Klatskin's tumour. The case is discussed based on the current literature.

“…Ormond's disease characterized by retroperitoneal fibrosis may present with hilar inflammatory stricture [122]. Heterotopic pancreatic tissue is commonly found in the stomach and duodenum but may occur in the hilar confluence [123] as can heterotopic gastric mucosa [124]. Cholecystohepatic duct with absence of common hepatic duct where the right and left ducts drain into the gall bladder has been mistaken for a malignant hilar stricture on preoperative imaging [125].…”

“…The presence of heterotopic pancreas in the hepatobiliary system [14] is rare compared with that in the gastrointestinal tract [15]. Indeed, 29 adenocarcinomas have been reported in heterotopic pancreas localized in gastrointestinal tracts [16].…”

“…Less frequently, it is observed in the liver, gallbladder, bile duct system, and papilla of Vater. [1] HP is known to be associated with various associated anomalies like malrotation, small intestinal atresias, biliary atresias, congenital diaphragmatic hernias, Meckel's diverticuli, annular pancreas and esophageal atresias. [23] There have been isolated case reports of the presence of HP within the choledochal cyst (CC).…”
