“…Phosphotungstic acid, as a green multi-function catalyst, possesses very high suitability because it can be dissolved in various solvents forming a homogeneous reaction liquid. 34 As shown in Fig. 1a, the same mass concentration of HPWH in several commonly used solvents exhibited different catalytic performances in the degradation of TUPR.…”

“…Dimethyl carbonate (DMC), with low toxicity and high degradability as an environmentally friendly solvent, has been widely used in various chemical reactions . Based on the development of green chemistry and our continuous work on the transformation of different alcohols, we developed a simple and green strategy for the construction of C–P bonds from secondary aromatic alcohols and H-phosphine oxides using dimethyl carbonate as a solvent and phosphotungstic acid as a catalyst, affording up to a 97% yield (Scheme , this work). The system has good substrate applicability, not only for realizing the conversion of secondary aromatic alcohol, allylic alcohol, and triphenylmethanol but also to different secondary phosphine oxides in excellent yields for the formation of C–P bonds.…”
