Polyoxometalates( POMs) have attracted much attention in the field of photochromic materials. However, POM-based photochromic supramolecular hydrogels with high transparencya nd good photochromic properties are seldom reported. In this work, ah omogenous,o ptically transparent, injectable, and photochromic supramolecular hydrogel was fabricated through the coassemblyo fa mmonium heptamolybdate (Mo 7 )a nd an imidazolium-based zwitterionica mphiphile (3-(1-hexadecyl-3-imidazolio)propanesulfonate (C 16 IPS)). The balance between electrostatic attraction and repulsion of Mo 7 clusters and zwitterionic amphiphiles enablest hem to coassemble into ah omogenousa nd transparents upramolecular hydrogel. By adjusting the molar ratio of C 16 IPS/Mo 7 ,o rdered spherical micelle-based hydrogels and alignedw ormlike micelle-based hydrogels can be obtained. Thei ncorporationo fM o 7 into hydrogels endows these hydrogels with excellent photochromic properties. Specifically,a fter coassembly with C 16 IPS, the photochromic abilityo fh ydrogels is significantly enhanced comparedw ith that of ap ure aqueous solutiono fM o 7 .T hese hydrogels exhibit great potential applications as photochromic materials for the recording of rewritable information.[a] N.
