Heterogeneous surface charge confining an electrolyte solution

Abstract: The structure of dilute electrolyte solutions close to a surface carrying a spatially inhomogeneous surface charge distribution is investigated by means of classical density functional theory (DFT) within the approach of fundamental measure theory (FMT).
