This review paper delves into the critical role of green taxation policies and renewable energy investments in fostering sustainable economic growth in the United States. It scrutinizes the effectiveness of current tax incentives and policies in propelling investments in renewable energy, evaluating their contributions to environmental conservation and sustainable development. The study is anchored on a comprehensive literature review approach, focusing on selecting relevant studies and reports that shed light on the integration of technology in social work, particularly in the African context and its implications for U.S. practice. The findings reveal that while green taxation and renewable energy investments offer significant benefits in terms of reducing pollution and promoting sustainable energy sources, their environmental impacts must be carefully managed. The paper also explores the interplay between green taxation and public health policy, assessing how environmental tax reforms can contribute to a healthier U.S. population. In conclusion, the study provides policy recommendations for enhancing the U.S. position as a leader in environmental stewardship and sustainable economic practices. It underscores the need for a multifaceted approach that includes fiscal incentives, supportive regulatory frameworks, strategic financing mechanisms, and public-private collaboration. Future research should focus on addressing the identified gaps, particularly in exploring innovative financing mechanisms and assessing the long-term impacts of these policies on economic growth and environmental sustainability.

Today, there are increasing demands for flying drones with diverse capabilities for civilian and military uses, and there is growing attention given to this topic. When it comes to drone operations, the amount of energy they consume is a determining factor in their ability to achieve their full potential. According to the nature of the problem, it appears that it is necessary to identify the factors affecting the energy consumption of UAVs during the execution of missions as well as examine the general factors that influence the consumption of energy. The purpose of this chapter is to provide an overview of the current state of research in the area of UAV energy consumption. This is followed by general categorizations of factors affecting UAV's energy consumption as well as an investigation of different energy models.

Framing and Evaluating the Best Practices of IFC-Based Automated Rule Checking: A Case Study

This research reviews recent advances in the domain of Automated Rule Checking (ARC) and argues that current systems are predominantly designed to validate models in post-design stages, useful for applications such as e-permitting. However, such a design-check-separated paradigm imposes a burden on designers as they need to iteratively fix the fail-to-pass issues. Accordingly, the study reviews the best-practices of IFC-based ARC systems and proposes a framework for ARC system development, aiming to achieve proactive bottom-up solutions building upon the requirements and resources of end-users. To present and evaluate its capabilities, the framework is implemented in a real-life case study. The case study presents all the necessary steps that should be taken for the development of an ARC solution from rule selection and analysis, to implementation and feedback. It is explained how a rule checking problem can be broken down into separate modules implemented in an iterative approach. Results show that the proposed framework is feasible for successful implementation of ARC systems and highlight that a stable data standard and modeling guideline is needed to achieve proactive ARC solutions. The study also discusses that there are some critical limitations in using IFC which need to be addressed in future studies.
