“…No evidence for N-de-ethylated intermediates from RhB degradation was observed (molecular masses of 415, 387, 359, 331 for mono, di, tri, and fully N-de-ethylated RhB products, respectively). 53 This was further supported by the UV−vis spectral change depicted in Figure 3. The characteristic absorbance peak of RhB at 556 nm gradually decreased without any peak shift, ruling out any N-de-ethylation of RhB (λ = 498 nm).…”

“…The chromophore structure of activated RhB +· is efficiently destroyed, as evidenced by different smaller organic molecules in filtrate detected by GC–MS analysis (Figure S22). The lack of any peak with a molecular mass of 433 quite confirmed the destruction of RhB . The GC data revealed one predominant product with a retention time of 12.27 ( m / z = 177) and many other products with smaller intensities including phthalic acid and N , N -diethylaniline (Figure S22).…”

“…[11] Following our previous works on development of new magnetically recoverable catalysts for oxidation of organic compounds, [12][13][14] just recently, we developed a new pyridine functionalized maghemite nanoparticles to carry Fe(III) and Mn(III) salophen complexes as heterogeneous Fenton-like catalysts. [15] Herein, we wish to use pyridine-functionalized γ-Fe 2 O 3 nanoparticles as a competent support for coordinative anchoring of simple cobalt(II) salophen complex as a heterogeneous catalyst for selective oxidation of benzyl alcohols. The pyridine attached to MNP could improve the catalytic efficiency and stability of salophen complex.…”
