Abstract

The objective of this research was the reconstruction of the significance that Pentecostal women belonging to the Evangelical Pentecostal Church in Arica give to their femininity. By means of this, their social reality is described, framed in religious practices typical of the national classic Pentecostalism. But from their conditions as professionals, independent and autonomous, they mark an initial socio-cultural transformation within the congregation itself. This transformation exemplifies the transformations that this religious phenomenon is undergoing at the national level. This research was conducted under the social constructivist paradigm in a qualitative methodology of case study type.
