Abstract:We report a surprising case of intraoperatively detected worm obstruction of a hepaticojejunostomy anastomosis. The patient presented with acute cholangitis including fever, abdominal pain, obstructive jaundice and sepsis. Six years earlier, she had undergone open cholecystectomy with a right subcostal incision.
