Abstract: Legg-Calvé-Perthes Disease (LCPD) is a rare disease caused by avascular necrosis of the femoral head. Although its etiology is still not fully understood, evidence suggests heritable prothrombotic and inflammatory environmental factors may be implicated in its onset and progress.
