Abstract:This is the second of a two parts analysis on white blood cell counts. In this one the different white blood cell. distribution patterns in the peripheral blood are described. Leukocytosis with neutrophilia, leukopenia with shift to the left, leukocytosis with absolute lymphocytosis and normal leukocytes with relative lymphocytosis are reviewed. The special variations occurring in the infected newborn and the eosinophilias caused by parasitic infections are also discussed.(
