Abstract:Background: Arteriovenous fistulae (AVF) are the dialysis access modality of choice for patients with end stage renal disease (ESRD). Many children have poor vein caliber which renders them unsuitable for performing AV fistula and those end up in chronic tunneled hemodialysis catheter.
