Abstract: Diabetes mellitus type 2 (DM2) is a hypercoagulable state with enhanced platelet (PLT) activation and increased clotting factor production. Simultaneously, the fibrinolytic cell system is inhibited due to the formation of clots with high fibrinolysis resistance.
