Helping students learn

Abstract: Colleges continue to provide the same traditional learning settings and structures to all students, despite the fact that the settings are often unsuccessful with young high‐risk students. Learning communities, skills across the curriculum, and work experience programs offer hope for engaging high‐risk students in the learning process.
