Hedgehog lipids: Promotors of alternative morphogen release and signaling?

Abstract: Two posttranslational lipid modifications present on all Hedgehog (Hh) morphogensan N-terminal palmitate and a C-terminal cholesterol-are established and essential regulators of Hh biofunction.
