Heavy atom enhanced room-temperature phosphorimetry for ultratrace determination of harmane

Abstract: Harmane has been proposed for the treatment of epilepsy, AIDS and leshmaniosis. Its room-temperature phosphorescence was induced using either AgNO 3 or TlNO 3 , enabling absolute limits of detection of 0.12 and 2.4 ng respectively, with linear dynamic ranges extending up to 456 ng (AgNO 3 ) and 911 ng (TlNO 3 ).
