Heat transfer enhancement in light‐emitting diode packaging employing different molar concentration of magnesium oxide thin films as a heat spreader

Abstract: To solve thermal management difficulties created by miniaturization of lightemitting diode package, magnesium oxide thin film was spin coated on the aluminum 5052-grade substrate and employed for heat spreading and improvement of the thermal path for heat removal from light-emitting diode parcel to ambient. Thickness of different films of magnesium oxide was prepared from 0.6M and 0.8M precursors to find out the effects of films thickness and molar concentrations towards perfect heat spreading. Results from X-… Show more

“…Energy analysis uses the principle of thermal balance, with thermal efficiency as the primary criterion, to analyze and evaluate the effective utilization of energy equipment and systems, reflect the balance of energy, and consider the degree of utilization of energy. The hot water in the central heating system as a medium mainly passes through the heat source, water supply pipe-line, heat user and return water pipe-line [4]. According to its process, that is, the direction of energy flow, a series-connected energy analysis gray box model of the system is established, as shown in fig.…”

“…The nanomaterials possess extensive surface area and show diverse magnetic, electronic, optical, catalytic, and electrical properties than bulk counterparts. The ultra‐small dimensions of nanostructured materials exhibit remarkable properties 1‐4 . Since, from the last few decades the ABO 3 perovskites type materials have got considerable attention of scientific community toward commercialized applications.…”

“…At this point time, the lack of inefficient cooling techniques is the major technical bottleneck to the development of high-power LEDs. Conventionally, fin heat sink has been a typical heat spreader used to remove heat from LED mainly via conduction and convection [24,25]. This approach is however inefficient in removing heat from high power LED.…”
