Diagnosis of PSEI in this study was made on the basis of a psychiatric interview and structured questionnaire and defined as excessive or inappropriate laughing, crying, or both, compared with the premorbid state, on at least 2 occasions following the latest stroke, according to both the patient and one or more cohabitating relative.…”
