“…Lumbar IVD degeneration is associated with low back pain [16,17]. A previous publication of the same BT survivor population showed a trend toward reporting increased pain compared to healthy controls, but this association did not reach signi cance [27]. Our results suggest that long-term BT survivors may be at risk for low back pain due to IVD degeneration later in life.…”
