Health care disparities, provider bias, and provider burnout

Abstract: Access to mental health care is a major problem for children worldwide. Based on data from 2016, an estimated 7.7 million children in the United States have at least one mental health disorder. Nearly 50% of these children do not receive any kind of mental health treatment (Whitney & Peterson, 2019).
