However, cross‐sectional studies are the starting point in many projects, and in the area of dynamic jaw‐neck movements in children, we have only been able to identify one previous study (also cross‐sectional in design) . Thus, in a cross‐sectional design there are confounding variables (skeletal relationship, malocclusions, functional disturbances, breathing, tongue position etc) that relate to head posture and position, often investigated, and controlled for, in relation to static tasks such as clenching.…”
