“…Several studies have been published assessing the efficacy of PBM with LLLT in BMS (Antonió et al, 2017; Arbabi‐Kalati, Bakhshani, & Rasti, 2015; Arduino et al, 2016; Barbosa et al, 2018; Brailo et al., 2013; dos Santos, de Andrade, Nogueira, Leao, & de Freitas, 2015; dos Santos, Carvalho, Leao, Cruz, & Castro, 2011; Sikora, Siber, Vucicevic, Rotim & Matjevic, 2018; Spanemberg, Figueiredo, Cherubini & Salum, 2015; Valenzuela & López‐Jornet, 2017), all of them measured pain with a visual analogue scale (VAS), but only some of them (Arbabi‐Kalati et al., 2015; Arduino et al., 2016; Sikora et al., 2018; Spanemberg, López, de Figueiredo, Cherubini, & Salum, 2015; Valenzuela & López‐Jornet, 2017) measured other quality of life values such as the impact on patients' oral health or indexes of anxiety or depression (Arduino et al., 2016; Spanemberg et al., 2019; Valenzuela & López‐Jornet, 2017). The majority of the studies found positive results, with a decrease in VAS around three points, but in the majority of the studies, no follow‐ups were done.…”
