This study aims to investigate the relationship between China's outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) in Central and Eastern European countries (CEECs) by assessing their impact on the economies of both the CEECs and China. By analyzing this connection, the paper seeks to gain insights into the economic dynamics and potential benefits derived from investment and trade activities between China and the countries in this region. The paper employs a regression model to examine the influence of foreign direct investment on trade with data from 2008 to 2022. The findings indicate that a one percentage point increase in China's OFDI corresponds to a 0.054 percent boost in bilateral trade between China and the 16 CEECs. In conclusion, the findings highlight a significant link between OFDI in CEECs and bilateral trade. OFDI opens up new trade opportunities and fosters economic growth in CEECs, thereby promoting the development of bilateral trade. Additionally, Chinese investment drives industrial upgrading and structural adjustments in CEECs, enhancing the competitiveness of bilateral trade.

Most studies that investigate the relationship between foreign trade and economic growth analyze it through the interpretation of various indicators. This paper seeks to investigate the relationship between coverage of imports by exports and the openness to foreign trade on one hand and the gross domestic product of the Republic of Srpska on other hand. The research relates to the period from 2001 to 2020. By applying the ARDL model we confirmed the initial hypothesis that an increase in the coverage of imports by exports increases the domestic product. The paper confirms the long-term relationship between independent and dependent variables, expressed through the existence of the cointegration equation. Results based on the applied ARDL method show negative, but insignificant relationship between openness and gross domestic product in the Republic of Srpska in long run, and statistically significant positive relationship between coverage of imports by exports and gross domestic product in long run. Value of coefficient shows that 1% increase in coverage of imports by exports increases gross domestic product by 0.80% in long run.

This study investigates the moderating role of labour productivity on the relationship between readymade exports and economic growth in Bangladesh using annual time series data from 1983 to 2019 using the ARDL method. This study examines the moderating impact of labour productivity on the link between readymade garment (RMG) exports and economic growth in Bangladesh taking time series data from the year 1983 to 2019 using the ARDL model. The most important factor that is impacting the competitiveness of Bangladesh's RMG industry is poor labour productivity trends. A long-run positive relationship between RMG exports, labour productivity, and economic growth is observed. The RMG export earnings are significantly improving the economic growth of the country both in the long and short run. The policy implication is improving labour skills, providing training, and the use of information technology in the RMG sector will promote economic growth.
