Preterm infants encounter an abrupt delivery before their complete maturity during the third trimester of pregnancy. Polls anticipate an increase in the rates of preterm infants for 2025, especially in middle- and low-income countries. Despite the abundance of intensive care methods for preterm infants, such as, but not limited to, commercial, transport, embrace warmer, radiant warmer, and Kangaroo Mother Care methods, they are either expensive, lack the most essential requirements or specifications, or lack the maternal-preterm bond. This drove us to carry this original research and innovative idea of developing a new 3D printed prototype of a Handy preterm infant incubator. We aim to provide the most indispensable intensive care with the lowest cost, to bestow low-income countries with the Handy incubator's care, preserve the maternal -preterm's bond, and diminish the rate of mortality. Biomedical features, electronics, and biocompatible materials were utilized. The design was simulated, the prototype was 3D printed, and the outcomes were tested and evaluated. Simulation results showed the best fit for the Handy incubator's components. Experimental results showed the 3D-printed prototype and the time elapsed to obtain it. Evaluation results revealed that the overall performance of Kangaroo Mother Care and the embrace warmer was 75 ± 1.4% and 66.7 ± 1.5%, respectively, while the overall performance of our Handy incubator was 91.7 ± 1.6%, thereby our cost-effective Handy incubator surpassed existing intensive care methods. The future step is associating the Handy incubator with more specifications and advancements.

Crop residue burning leads to release of various pollutants along with photo-synthetically locked CO2 back to the atmosphere in a very short time. Residue retention provides various ecosystem services with a partial C sequestration potential. However, increasing emissions from agro-ecosystems and decreasing soil health status lead to collaborative research on conservation agriculture and soil supplement addition. In this regard, partial crop residue retention and partial residue conversion to bio char could be a potential strategy for mitigating climate change in addition to felicitation of native SOM and soil health as well as improved fertilizer use efficiency.

4-[(3-Methylphenyl)(phenyl)amino]benzoic acid (MPPBA) self-assembled monolayer (SAM) molecules as hole injection is formed on p and n type Si and on indium-tin oxide (ITO) electrodes to investigate the effect on the electrical parameters of hole only organic device. The hole mobility improvement of organic device was attributed to an intermediate energy level formed between hole transport materials (HTL) (N,N′-Bis(naphthalen-1-yl)-N,N′-bis(phenyl)benzidine -NPB) and ITO when forming an ultrathin MPPBA layer, leading to increase of carrier mobility of the device. Space charge limited current (SCLC) technique is used to estimate the mobility of the NPB formed at the interface metal/organic Ohmic contact. The hole mobility of ITO/NPB/Al and ITO/MPPBA/NPB/Al devices were obtained as 1.80 × 10−6 and 1.76 × 10−3 cm2/Vs, at 1350 E (V/cm)1/2 applied electric field, respectively. SAM modified devices has lower barrier height values. The electronic characteristic parameters of the ITO/(with or without MPPBA)/NPB/Al, Au/n-Si(or p-Si)/(with or without MPPBA)/Au contacts were calculated using current–voltage (I–V) measurements by Schottky type carrier injection.
