Abstract: Stuffing the needled carbon felts preform via chemical vapor infiltration (CVI) (propylene as precursor) or resin impregnation/carbonization (phenolic resin as precursor) or combining the two processes results in three types of low-density carbon/carbon composites (LDC/C) with various carbon matrixes.
