Abstract:We address mainly the nucleon radiative capture reactions at incident energies above 10 MeV, but sufficiently low so that bremsstrahlung and the quasi-deuteron mechanisms do not play significant role. The main process considered is the direct-semi-direct capture treated either conventionally as the DSD model or interpreted within statistical approach as the pre-equilibrium γ emission. We compare the model assumptions of both approaches and also their applicability and predictions.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
