Happiness, Environment and Wealth: What Can Bhutan Show Us about Resolving the Nexus?

Abstract: The Environmental Kuznets Curve hypothesis examines how economic development can improve environmental outcomes (called Ecological Modernisation Theory) or it can cause worse outcomes (called Treadmill of Production Theory).
