“…The causative agent was DOBV in most of the published cases. (Kaya et al, ; Oncul et al, ; Sarıgüzel et al, ) . In the current outbreak, apart from the index case (who died 48 hr after hospital admission) and the second case (he was transferred to another hospital, and follow‐up serum samples could not be obtained) the causative agent was indicated as PUUV by detecting IgM antibodies against PUUV at the early stage of disease and the presence of elevated levels of IgG antibodies against PUUV in paired serum samples of 22 cases.…”
