Hottest buzzword of this decade is "Cloud Computing"-which has been considered as one of the potential solutions to our increasing demand for accessing, processing, storing, and using provisioned resources over the internet. However, with so many boons, it comes along with some curses as security and trust issues. There are many security issues within the cloud, and Information disclosure is a big threat to a cloud user when the information is transferred over the network using web services. In this paper, we have focused on to provide confidentiality to the user while using cloud-based web services, and an approach has been proposed for selective encryption of XML elements so as to provide confidentiality and prevent XML document form improper information disclosure. The technique used for encrypting the selective XML elements is Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) Encryption. Proposed technique selectively encrypts the elements of XML file using DNA sequencing.

MT-DIPS: a new data duplication integrity protection scheme for multi-tenants sharing storage in SaaS

In SaaS, the data sharing storage mode and tenant isolation requirement present new challenge to traditional remote data duplication protection schemes. This paper aims at the new requirement of tenant data duplication protection in SaaS and presents a tuple sampling-based tenant duplication protection mechanism MT-DIPS (Duplication Integrity Protection Scheme for Multi-Tenants). Instead of data block sampling, MT-DIPS accommodates the data isolation requirement of different tenants by sampling tenants physical data tuples. Through periodical random sampling, MT-DIPS reduces the complexity on service provider side of verification object construction and eliminates the resource waste. Analysis and the experimental results show that if the damage rate of tenant data tuples is about 1%, the random sampling data number is about 5% of the total number of tuples. MT-DIPS makes use of homomorphism labels with auxiliary authentication structure to allow trusted third party verification without disclosing tenant data to relieve the verification burden on tenants' client sides.

In the 21st century, education has evolved from being confined to the four walls of a classroom to a more flexible online environment using Cloud Computing (CC) technology which has brought immense technological transformation in the field of education. This technology is rapidly growing and improving the Higher Educational Institutions' (HEIs) performance around the world, where learners can access various computer applications from remote locations through the Internet. Previous studies on cloud computing adoption have highlighted various advantages of using this technology in HEIs, mainly in the developed countries. However, in the case of developing countries like Bangladesh, lack of research on identifying factors that might influence cloud computing adoption was observed. Hence, the authors of this paper have proposed a conceptual model that identifies the factors that influence cloud computing adoption for the faculty members and students in Bangladeshi HEIs.
