Hamming Signature of Three Composite Specimens

Abstract: Three samples having composite structure are examined by an X-ray tomographic scanner for pixel sizes of 20 to 160 µm. The data are processed by the convolution backprojection algorithm and the resulting tomographic images are analyzed for the Hamming class of filters. The characteristic signature of the three specimens is interpreted with the help of two error theorems.
