Halogen analogs of thymidine increase the level of chromosome aberrations in cells of patients with Fanconi's anemia

Abstract: Lymphocytes of two patients with Fanconi's anemia were cultured with halogen analogs of thymidine. These substances reliably increased the incidence of chromosome aberrations per cell in comparison with the initial level. The effect directly depends on the size of the halogen atom of thymidine.
