In today's world, technology has become central to human life, leading to the popularity of social media applications. Consequently, the interdisciplinary concept of communication has evolved and transformed. This transformation has rapidly integrated diplomatic practices into the digital world, contributing to the expansion and implementation of the concept of public diplomacy. States and non-state actors have actively used social media applications to bring cultural diplomacy activities, one of the tools of public diplomacy, into the digital realm to influence individuals and communities, change negative perceptions into positive ones, shape an image, create attraction, or convey desired messages. In this study, cultural activities shared on the Instagram official account of the U.S. Embassy in Bishkek (@usembassybishkek) are examined in the context of cultural diplomacy. The findings are evaluated based on the shared posts, interaction results, participation, and conclusions are drawn.
