Independent fission yields in J 3 5 U (n t ^, f) /Even-odd pairing effect I Charge distribution in fission /Data reevaluation Abstract Recent measurements of independent fission yields using physical and radiochemical techniques provide a critical test for existing fission yield evaluations. In this work a total of 625 experimentally determined independent fission yields in 235 U (n^,, f), covering 224 recently reported fission products in 62 mass chains, are reviewed and compared to the predicted values from recent evaluations and model calculations. There are some discrepancies between measured and evaluated independent yields, in particular for those fission products far from ^-stability lines. Reevaluation of independent fission product yields on the basis of systematics developed from all available data is performed in this work. Features of the even-odd pairing effect, charge distribution parameters, and Gaussian fit of fission yield data are discussed.
