He has formally been engaged in earthquake engineering and reconnaissance research for the past year, and has a specific interest in the seismic performance of historic and vernacular structures. After graduation, he plans to continue working in this field as a structural engineer for a non-profit organization focusing on building development and disaster recovery in developing countries.
