Abstract:SummaryA golden retriever dog was evaluated for cranial abdominal organomegaly. Clinical investigation found concurrent splenomegaly, anaemia, thrombocytopenia, hypoalbuminaemia and hypocholesterolaemia. Cytological evaluation of splenic aspirate samples identified a population of atypical, erythrophagocytic, mesenchymal cells.
