Haemophagocytic histiocytic sarcoma with presumed involvement of the skeletal musculature in a greyhound

Abstract: An 11‐year‐old male neutered Greyhound was evaluated for severe generalized pain of one‐week duration. Lameness, hyporexia, acute diarrhoea and pyrexia were also listed symptoms. Computerized tomography of thorax and abdomen revealed splenomegaly with multiple nodules, mediastinal, tracheobronchial and hepatic lymphadenomegaly, and multiple irregular and hypoattenuating skeletal muscular lesions.
