Abstract:We present recent results on short-lived hadronic resonances obtained by the ALICE experiment at LHC energies. Results include system-size and collision-energy evolution of transverse momentum spectra, yields and the ratios of resonance yields to those of longer lived particles, and nuclear modification factors. The results will be compared with model predictions and measurements at lower energies.
“…The afterburner leads to a suppression of most resonances (enhancement of some), an increase in their mean transverse momentum, and a suppression of their v 2 at small p T . Similar results were also found by comparing EPOS with EPOS+UrQMD [47,48].…”
I review recent theory progress reported at the 19th International Conference on Strangeness in Quark Matter (SQM), and discuss open questions to be addressed by the coming editions of SQM.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
