Abstract:Abstract. The weak interaction between quarks induces a parity-violating component in the interactions between nucleons, which is expected to be suppressed by a factor of about 10 −7 to 10 −6 compared to the dominant parity-conserving part of the interaction. A theoretical framework to analyze and interpret parity-violating observables in few-nucleon systems is described and selected results are presented.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
