Abstract: BACKGROUNDObesity is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Our previous studies demonstrated that microvascular flow‐induced dilation (FID) is reduced in visceral adipose tissue (VAT) compared to subcutaneous AT (SAT) in morbidly obese subjects.
